![]() Hunter also gives a very nice debuff in Leghold Trap, plus Rain of Arrows for breaking quickly.Ĭyrus: Merchant, Cleric, Dancer are all fine for him. ![]() ![]() Thief or Hunter are both solid as well - Thief gives him SP Thief/Steal HP which is sometimes stronger than Cross Strike (depends on enemy defence and weapon strength - with roughly equal weapons and average enemies, the Thief abilities will be slightly stronger), plus some nice debuffs. That said there's not too many other good options for him. The rest of Apothecary is more just support, which again is nice but not too great. Amputate is pretty good at least - it's a guaranteed crit chance if it hits, and otherwise identical stats to Cross Strike. Amputate and Last Stand are nice for another high power attack, but he already has very similar options in Cross Strike and Level Slash respectively. Olberic: Apothecary is okay on him, but not too amazing. Good for breaking enemies.) You could also make him a Thief and go for a dodge tank build with Incite, while the HP/SP Thief skills keep him self-sufficient. (Also, protip: The "hits x to y times" skills like Thousand Spears will always hit at least thrice. He loses out on self-sustain, but it gives him access to bows in addition to axes, and Leghold Trap is not to be underestimated, especially against bosses. Olberic makes good use out of Apothecary, as I already mentioned, but consider making him a Hunter instead. (You could also do Merchant Therion and Dancer Cyrus, that would work well.) Unless you want to make him a Cleric or Dancer, which will be redundant with Ophilia and Primrose/Therion, it's his best option. (Side note: Stack EDef to increase healing done with skills.) She probably won't find much use for Amputation or Last Stand, but her high EAtk will work well with Icicle, which does more damage than Holy Light IIRC. Which is not to say that Apothecary Olberic is bad (it's actually quite good, especially when Challenging NPCs), but it gives Ophilia access to a status cleanse and a much cheaper revive than, well, Revive. If you want Ophilia to be a pure healer, you should give her the Apothecary subclass instead of Olberic. (Cyrus, Ophilia, and Primrose are all slanted towards elemental damage.) Since you're already planning on making Primrose a Dancer/Thief, you can just make Therion a Thief/Dancer and call it a day. ![]() I'd consider switching out Primrose for Therion - not only does he fill that gap, he's also more physical-oriented, which will help balance out your party's damage. I notice that you've doubled up on the "bring an NPC with you" path actions and have no "take an NPCs item" path action. I'm planning on just focusing on 4 characters to start with and then going back for the rest after I've completed most of the rest of the game. Keep in mind Olberic is my main so he is a must have. That's pretty much what I'm going for here.Īny recommendations on how to achieve these roles more easily / in a better or more effective manner? It focuses on setting up the perfect situation for the rest of your team. In d&d theres a role commonly referred to as the "god wizard". Anyt recs on how to compliment that either before or after I reach that point? My goal is to get everyone the cleric ability that allows overheal and spent 90% of ophilias turns healing. I figured rest from merchant would help with SP problems. Not sure how to improve Cyrus beyond giving him a class that provides another element. This is the character who I am most certain about.Ĭyrus- AOE DPS. I have just completed all the chapter 1s and I'm starting to plan the build I want for the game.
